POP Gun

Pulsed Organoleptic Projectile. A phased-array antenna made of hundreds of miniature microwave elements that are manipulated to make a single nimble beam of high temperature energy. When aimed at soldiers, the beams can cause the moisture on their skins or inside their bodies to explode, causing incapacitation or death.

Blastblade

A short 3” knife made of hollow steel that is used to inject high pressure CO2 into a victim's thoracic cavity when embedded into the ribcage. The gas cartridge in the handle explosively inflates the diaphragm and collapses the victim's lungs, making it impossible for him to scream and expelling all latent air, making for a swift death. Used by Soveriegn UNCONs during the breakout of Clough Island.

Ballistrae

A small concealable personal weapon made of two heavy platinum spheres attached by a fine metal chain. When thrown, the two metal balls wrap around the target several times in opposite directions. Tiny nano-milled teeth spin around inside the connecting chain to form a sharp indestructible saw that can cut through any metal, plastic or flesh. Speed and depth of cut is modulated by a control chain held by the thrower.

Inhaler

Not a weapon per-se but an underwater propulsion device that houses a small jet turbine that is powerful enough to carry a single soldier along behind it. The engine contains a breather stage that extracts enough bubble-free oxygen for the operator by pushing large amounts of water through its collectors.

Sliders

Single-gliders. Sail-suited paratroopers who can be dropped stealthily from the safety of friendly skies fifty miles from the battle area without detection. Soldiers glide to dropzones through multiple GPS-directed routes and pop their chutes when just above the ground. Later modified by Aboud to permit combat amputees outfitted with titanium-reinforced prosthetics the ability to land without parachutes.

Railguns

High-technology rifles that shoot solid finely-patterned spinballs with no propellant. Projectiles are shot out the muzzle of an electromagnet barrel imparting complicated spin profiles that enable selectable tiers of lethality, armor penetration and around-the-corner targeting. Used by United Nations StanEval agents.
